The Salmon P. Chase Center at The Ohio State University to Host First Annual Ohio Classical Schools Conference on August 1

Columbus, Ohio – July 25, 2025 - The Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society at The Ohio State University is proud to announce the inaugural Ohio Classical Schools Conference, taking place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Fawcett Center, Alumni Lounge, in Columbus, Ohio.

This landmark event will convene Ohio classical education leaders with thought-leaders from across the state and beyond for a day of collaboration, dialogue, and inspiration. Designed to advance the flourishing of classical education in Ohio and throughout the United States, the conference will provide a forum for school board members, superintendents, headmasters, and university educators to engage in thoughtful conversation about the future of classical learning.

The conference will feature addresses by Ohio Representative Elizabeth Lear, a distinguished advocate for educational reform and civic renewal, Jake Tawney of Great Hearts Academies, and Rabbi Alec Goldstein of the Lobel Center for Jewish Classical Education, alongside a distinguished lineup of panelists who will lead three in-depth discussions.

This full-day gathering is a unique opportunity to join a growing network of classical educators committed to cultivating wisdom, virtue, and civic responsibility in the next generation of Americans.
