Alexander Lovelace

A military historian, Dr. Alexander Lovelace’s research interests span from the American Civil War to the early Cold War. He is especially interested in command decisions, strategy, military media relations, and the historiography of World War II. His first book The Media Offensive: How the Press and Public Opinion Shaped Allied Strategy during World War II was published with the University Press of Kansas in 2022. He has published numerous journal articles and scholarly book chapters and serves as the Article Compiler for the Journal of Military History. The winner of two teaching awards, he has taught a wide variety of classes at several colleges in Ohio and Maryland. He holds a PhD in History from Ohio University, an MA in History from The George Washington University, and a BA in History from Messiah College.
