Bio
Dr. Jacob Hall is an economist whose research explores the origins of the modern liberal nation-state and touches on questions in political economy, law and economics, and economic growth. His research has been published in the European Review of Economic History, Scandinavian Economic History Review, and other outlets.
He earned his PhD in Economics from George Mason University. Before joining the faculty at Ohio State, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Economics Department at the University of Pennsylvania and the Penn Initiative for the Study of Markets.
