Bio
Dr. Laura Siscoe's research and teaching focus on ethics and political philosophy, with particular expertise in the intersection of culture, religion, and public reason liberalism. Her work has been featured in Politics, Philosophy, & Economics, in an edited volume on the philosophy of James M. Buchanan, and in a variety of public-facing work in venues, including FUSION, The Prindle Post, and The Deviant Philosopher.
She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Southern California and a BA in Intercultural Studies from Biola University. Her dissertation, “Taking People as They Are: The Role of Culture in Public Reason Liberalism,” was written under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Quong.
