Study at Oxford with the Chase Center!
The Chase Center invites Ohio State students to spend ten unforgettable days in Oxford in the United Kingdom, studying the Anglo-American tradition of civic thought and culture. The Chase Center's 2027 Civics Summer School will take place July 25–August 4, 2027.
Learn the Oxford Way
Students will experience lectures from leading Oxford scholars and participate in Oxford's renowned tutorial system, characterized by small-group discussions that encourage you to question, debate, and develop your own ideas.
Stay Somewhere Unforgettable
Your home during this program will be Lincoln College, which will be celebrating its 600th anniversary in 2027. One of Oxford's oldest colleges, Lincoln offers a remarkable glimpse into university life across the centuries.
Students will visit the historic Bodleian Library, which served as the filming location of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. You will also discover the Oxford haunts of J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, while enjoying Oxford’s many traditions, from punting along the river in a flat-bottomed boat to formal academic dinners.
Students will go on trips to explore the surrounding area, including London’s world-famous landmarks and Roman ruins in the medieval city of Bath.
The Details
The academic programming, accommodations, most meals, and extracurricular components of this trip are fully funded by the Chase Center!
Only undergraduate students enrolled at Ohio State are eligible to go on this trip.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own travel to and from the UK, and for incidental expenses while abroad. This trip is not offered for Ohio State course credit.
